Halen Môn Saltcote

Established in 1997, Halen Môn Saltcote began supplying salt to Angelsey butcher, Swains. Since then the company has been providing sea salt to chefs from around the world and has been served up at everything from political dinners to royal weddings.

Visit the saltcote for yourself and learn about why the local seawater makes for the finest sea salt and how the team turn water to salt.

A trip to Halen Môn would not be complete without picking up some salt to take home from the gift shop. Fine salt and flakes are sold here along with flavoured varieties and condiments.

During high season, visitors can also dine at the outdoor café where seasonal dishes, made using local produce, are served up. Sitting under the shade of a rustic stretch tent, with views out to Menai Strait and Snowdonia, the café is not only a treat for the tastebuds.

Savour a fascinating day out at Halen Môn Saltcote…
